I've checked Windows Update on my Windows 7 machine – update KB3102810 is available. Microsoft wrote, that the update solves issues in Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2.

Update KB3102810 (Installing and searching for updates is slow and high CPU usage occurs in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2) fixes the following issues:

  • When you install updates by using System Center Configuration Manager, the installation takes a long time, and System Center Configuration Manager becomes overloaded.
  • The Svchost.exe process occupies 100 percent of CPU usage when you upgrade a Windows Update client to Windows 10.

The update is distributed as optional via Windows Update, but may also be downloaded and installed manually. In case you need to block the Windows 10 upgrade, use the tool discussed in my blog post Block Windows 10 Upgrade using GWX Control Panel.

Does this mean that this is another Win 10 push update. If you could give me the answer as soon as you see this comment it could help me a lot. Thanks and regards :)

It's another Windows 10 Push update, but in my view senseful, because it fixes some flaws in Windows Update, that could also prevent other updates besides a Windows 10 upgrade package.
