I've given some hints to upgrade to Windows 10 Creators Update within my blog post Windows 10 Creators Update – Tips and FAQ.

DISM error 0x800F081F

If you open an administrative command prompt windows in Windows 10 Creators Update an enters the commands below:

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

it will end with error 0x800F081F. This has been the case earlier – and it seems Windows 10 Version 1703 is shipped again with damaged component store.

System restore has been disabled

My observations are, that computer protection for Windows drive is disabled after installing the feature upgrade. See my blog post Windows 10: System restore fails with error 0x81000203 how to enable computer protection.

Media Player and media features are missing

In Windows 10 10 N media features are gone (no image transfer, no PDF print, no Media Player, no media feature apps) after upgrade to Creators Update. The reason: The Media Feature Pack required for such features are removed during upgrade. Microsoft has released an upgrades Media Feature Pack for Version 1703, see my German blog post Media Feature Pack für Windows 10 N Version 1703.

Flash in Microsoft Edge is broken

Users of Windows 10 Version 1703 reporting, that Microsoft Edge doesn't support Flash-Player (see here, here and here). Within a German MS Answers-Forenthread I give some suggestions, but without a final fix. Also Adobe describes steps to enable Flash. Two of my test systems are passing Adobe Flash test. I don't now, what's the reason for the flash failure reported from several users.

Webcam doesn't work after upgrade

Some users are facing web cam issues after upgrading to Windows 10 Version 1703. In most cases drivers are wrong. There are two blog posts addressing this issues.

Windows 10 Anniversary Update breaks webcams and a fix
Windows 10: Internal camera error 0xA00F4244(0xC00D36D5)

Windows Defender shows a yellow warning in status bar

In Windows 10 Creators Update Microsoft has risen the requirements for antivirus protection again. Doe's Windows Defender shows a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in task bar (see also here and here)?

Beside conflicting third party antivirus products, this warning will be shown, if the option Automatic sample submission are disabled within Windows Defender security center (see also).

Driver issues after upgrade

Upgrading a notebook to Windows 10 Version 1703 could be a worse idea, due to special build in hardware and lack of driver support. My recommendation: Just wait until the feature update is shown in Windows Update. In some case, faulty driver can be fixed by reinstalling the old driver. Owners of Toshiba devices should not upgrade, because Toshiba Display program isn't supported.
