The problem
Attachments on meetings or appointments are not available when you synchronize the Calendar with an Exchange ActiveSync client.
Reason and solution
Microsoft has published a support article Exchange ActiveSync doesn't download attachments to Calendar items on mobile devices explaining the reason for this issue. The issue occurs, if:
- The Exchange ActiveSync client doesn't support version 16 or a later version of the Exchange ActiveSync protocol.
- The mailbox is located on a version of Exchange that doesn't support version 16 or a later version of the Exchange ActiveSync protocol.
The fix for this issue is simple: Update the Exchange ActiveSync clients on your mobile device to a version that supports Exchange ActiveSync protocol version 16 or later. If Exchange server is causing the issue, move the mailbox to Exchange Online or to Exchange 2016.
