Microsoft June 13, 2017 Patchday – further updates

Windows Update[German]On June 13, 2017 Microsoft has released a couple of other security updates beside security fixes for Windows 7 up to Windows 10. There are Flash-Updates, a cumulative Internet Explorer security update and also critical security uupdates for Windows Vista and Windows 8.  


Flash Player-Update KB4022730

Update KB4022730 (Security update for Adobe Flash Player: June 13, 2017) is shipped within other cumulative and rollup updates for Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows 10, Windows 10 Version 1511, Windows 10 Version 1607, Windows 10 Version 1703, Windows 8.1, or Windows RT 8.1. This update addresses the vulnerabilities listed here. The package is available via Windows Update or from Microsoft Update Catalog.

Microsoft Edge

All security updates for Microsoft's Edge browser will be shipped with cumulative updates for Windows 10 (see Patchday June 2017: Updates for Windows 10).

Internet Explorer

The security updates for distinct Internet Explorer versions are distributed via cumulative Windows 10 updates or via Rollup updates for Windows 7/8.1. A list may be found here, I've covered these updates in other blog posts.

Microsoft offers also update KB4021558 (Cumulative security update for Internet Explorer: June 13, 2017) for Internet Explorer. But this package can't be installed, if this update already has been installed via rollups or preview rollups. This update is available via Microsoft Update Catalog.

Windows Vista security updates

Windows Vista is out of support since April 2017. But Microsoft provides patches for critical vulnerabilities.
