Benutzer diverser Tablet PCs mit knappem eMMC- oder SSD-Speicher hatten das Problem, dass das Upgrade auf das November-Update (Windows 10 Version 1511) wegen fehlendem Speicher scheiterte. <\/p>\n

Dem Benutzer wurde mitgeteilt, dass f\u00fcr das Upgrade auf Windows 10 Version 1511 insgesamt 5,46 GByte an freiem Speicher vorhanden sein muss. Bei MS Answers findet sich z.B. in diesem Thread<\/a> eine entsprechende Diskussion mit L\u00f6sungsversuchen. Die Verwendung eines Installationsabbilds (erzeugt mit dem Media Creation Tool) f\u00fchrt beim Upgrade nicht weiter. Speziell bei Tablets mit 16 GByte eMMC konnte das Upgrade nicht ausgef\u00fchrt werden (siehe auch<\/a>).<\/p>\n Problem war wohl, dass der Download nicht auf ein separates Speichermedium (Speicherkarte) ausgelagert werden konnte. Eine M\u00f6glichkeit w\u00e4re ein Clean Install des Windows 10 Version 1511-Installationsabbilds von einem bootbaren ISO-Medium (UBB-Stick). Dabei gehen aber alle Einstellungen und Anwendungen verloren. <\/p>\n Im US-Forum<\/a> hat dann jemand einen Workaround f\u00fcr das Upgrade gepostet: Einfach das Systemlaufwerk C: mit Dateien f\u00fcllen, bis nur noch 500 MByte frei sind \u2013 dann soll der Download auf ein externes Medium angeboten werden. Bei der Installation kann man dann die \"Junk\"-Dateien l\u00f6schen und das Upgrade ausf\u00fchren.<\/p>\n MVP-Kollege Martin Geu\u00df weist in diesem Dr. Windows-Artikel<\/a> darauf hin, dass das letzte Woche herausgegebene Kompatibilit\u00e4ts-Update KB3124260<\/a> wohl zus\u00e4tzlichen Speicherplatz bereitstellt. Die Info findet sich in diesem US MS Answers-Forenbeitrag<\/a> \u2013 samt Hinweisen, wie man vorgehen soll. <\/p>\n Anmerkung: Beim Schreiben dieses Blog-Beitrags konnte ich den Artikel kurz abrufen, erhielt aber ein paar Minuten sp\u00e4ter den Hinweis, dass der Beitrag z.Z. nicht mehr verf\u00fcgbar sei. Entweder hat MS Answers mal wieder die Gr\u00e4tsche gemacht oder der Beitrag wurde gel\u00f6scht \u2013 ggf. mehrfach probieren, den Beitrag abzurufen. Daher hier das Wort-Zitat:<\/p>\n We have recently addressed an issue that improves the ability to install the Windows 10 November update on systems with low available storage space. <\/p>\n Previously, on systems with small hard drives (16 GB or 32 GB), you may not have been able to free enough space to upgrade, even with the assistance of external storage. In this scenario, Windows Update would report an error when trying to install the November update: \"We found some issues. Select this message to fix and finish updating.\" When clicking the \"Fix issues\" button, a message would appear that said \"Windows needs more space\", and one option provided is to \"Choose another drive or attach an external drive…\" If you selected this option and attached the external drive, Windows was not making good use of that external storage, and you may have seen a message saying that you still needed a similar amount of free space to install the update. <\/p>\n With the fix that we've released (KB3124260<\/a>), Windows will better use external storage, making it much more likely that the install will continue once you select to use an external drive and hit the Refresh button. The fix reduces the amount of space required on the C: drive by over 2 GB. <\/p>\n Please note that this issue and fix only apply to Windows 10 devices upgrading to the November update. It does not apply to Windows 8.1 devices. <\/p>\n If you had previously experienced this issue, to get the fix you'll first need to remove the temporary Windows installation files so that you can download them again, this time with the fix included. To do this: <\/p>\n Run Disk Cleanup<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Click Clean up system files.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Select Temporary Windows installation files<\/strong> and click OK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n Then check for Windows Updates and try reinstalling the Windows 10 November update.
