For some reason my new Surface is shutting off randomly. I check the setting and a few other things but it's still randomly turns off without warning. I'm losing some of my school work because of it. Is anyone else having this problem?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Bei reddit.com gibt es zudem diesen Thread<\/a>, in dem ein weiterer Nutzer das Ganze beschreibt. Es scheint dabei unabh\u00e4ngig vom verbauten Prozessor im Surface Pro aufzutreten. Ein Microsoft-Mitarbeiter hat dann bei Microsoft Answers folgende Antwort geliefert:<\/p>\n

Microsoft ist wohl bekannt, dass eine 'geringe Anzahl' an Nutzern von diesem Problem betroffen ist. Die Ger\u00e4te gehen spontan in den Energiesparmodus (Hibernation). Microsoft untersucht dieses Problem. Der betreffenden Forenthread hat 277 Eintr\u00e4ge, so dass ich davon ausgehe, dass es doch einige Leute tangiert.<\/p>\n
Vorgeschlagener Workaround<\/h2>\n
Der erste Beitrag auf dieser Microsoft Answers-Forum-Seite<\/a> schl\u00e4gt als Workaround eine \u00c4nderung der Hibernation-Einstellungen vor.<\/p>\n
1. Hierzu ist eine administrative Eingabeaufforderung zu \u00f6ffnen (cmd<\/em> im Suchfeld der Taskleiste eintippen und den Treffer im Startmen\u00fc \u00fcber den Kontextmen\u00fcbefehl Als Administrator asuf\u00fchren <\/em>aufrufen).<\/p>\n
2. Dann in der Eingabeaufforderung den Befehl powercfg \/h \/type reduced<\/em> eingeben.<\/p>\n
Der Nutzer behauptet, dass es bei ihm geholfen habe.<\/p>\n
Vorschlag einer Moderatorin: Ger\u00e4t zur\u00fcckgeben<\/h2>\n
MVP-Kollegin und Communitymoderatorin Barb Bowman hat im gleichen Microsoft Answers-Forenthread hier<\/a> eine radikalere L\u00f6sung vorgeschlagen:<\/p>\n

Reading between the lines, I interpret this as they could not reproduce this with their in-house new Surface Pro's. (And they have not updated the thread with something like \"we were\/were not able to reproduce this in our testing.)<\/p>\n
They also say \"small group\". While there are 200+ me too's in this thread, and 20 pages of posts, the term \"small group\" may be relative.<\/p>\n

So, in my OPINION, based on the fact that it has historically taken Microsoft months and months to identify issues and come out with a fix and since these devices are still eligible for return for full refund, you may want to consider returning for a full refund and repurchasing. If you do that, you get another 30 days of being able to return and repurchase, etc. The reason I say this is that 6 months down the road, Microsoft will exchange for a refurb if they determine it is a hardware issue and the quality of the refurbs has not been consistent.<\/p>\n
Additionally, if it IS a software issue, customers should not need to perform multiple wipe and reimage's and bare metal trouble shooting. These devices should just work properly out of the box.<\/p>\n
I'm not trying to be deliberately negative, but the track record Microsoft has of fixing issues is slow. You've all spent a lot of money. Sure it costs in time to set up a new Surface, but if the advice is to wipe and reload a device that has this issue, in MY opinion, it's best to spend the time doing this with a different, new Surface Pro in case it is a hardware issue.<\/p>\n

In ganz kurz: Barb Bowman merkt an, dass einige wenige Betroffene relativ sei und es wohl einige Stimmen im Internet gibt. Barb sagt ganz klar, dass Microsoft in vergangenen F\u00e4llen oft Monate gebraucht hat, um solche Probleme zu identifizieren und zu fixen. Nutzer legen eine Menge 'Asche' f\u00fcr ein Surface Pro 2017 hin, da dass die vorgeschlagenen Versuche mit Zur\u00fccksetzen des Ger\u00e4ts den Ger\u00e4tebesitzern nicht zumutbar seien. Sie h\u00e4lt einen pragmatischen Vorschlag bereit: Da die Ger\u00e4te neu sind, sollen die Betroffenen diese einfach im Rahmen der Gew\u00e4hrleistung an den Hersteller zur\u00fcckgeben und um Erstattung des Kaufpreises nachsuchen oder sich ein anderes Exemplar schicken lassen.<\/p>\n
Wenn ich den Hinweis von TMiq hier lese<\/a> \u2013 der hat mehrere Ger\u00e4te zur\u00fcckgegeben und die Ersatzger\u00e4te hatten nicht nur den Hibernation-Fehler sondern auch einen 'light screen light' Effekt im unteren Displaybereich, w\u00fcrde ich auf Erstattung des Kaufpreises bestehen. Abschlie\u00dfende Frage: Ist jemand von euch betroffen?<\/p>\n
Nachtrag: Microsoft arbeitet an einem Fix<\/h2>\n
Zwischenzeitlich gibt es Berichte, dass Microsoft den Fehler gefunden haben will und an einem Fix arbeitet. Warten wir ab, wann dieser kommt und ob das Problem gel\u00f6st ist.<\/p>\n
