November 2017 das Update KB4055038 f\u00fcr diverse Windows-Versionen freigegeben. Dieses fixt den Drucker-Bug, der Matrixdrucker von Epson am Drucken hindert.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Worum geht es?<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ssl-vg03.met.vgwort.de\/na\/3dae126d34994ce88cedaf7ae26a58fb\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/>Beim Patchday am 14. November 2017 wurden auch Updates f\u00fcr Windows 7 bis Windows 10 ausgeliefert, die diverse Sicherheitsl\u00fccken schlie\u00dfen sollten. Wer dieses Updates vom 14. November 2017 installierte, konnte anschlie\u00dfend unter Windows 7 bis Windows 10 keine Ausdrucke mehr auf Epson Nadeldruckern (Matrixdrucker) anfertigen.<\/p>\n<p>Ich hatte den Bug im Blog-Beitrag <a href=\"https:\/\/borncity.com\/blog\/2017\/11\/16\/windows-nov-2017-updates-killen-epson-matrixdrucker\/\">Fix: Windows (Nov. 2017) Updates killen Epson Matrixdrucker<\/a> angesprochen und in diversen weiteren Beitr\u00e4gen (siehe Linkliste am Artikelende) auch Workarounds vorgeschlagen. Das Problem wurde recht schnell durch Microsoft anerkannt und man versprach einen Fix.<\/p>\n<h2>Windows-Update KB4055038 korrigiert Druckerbug<\/h2>\n<p>Blog-Leser Smiler wies in <a href=\"https:\/\/borncity.com\/blog\/2017\/11\/17\/microsoft-besttigt-epson-drucker-bug-fixes-workarounds\/#comment-50354\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">diesem Kommentar<\/a> bereits auf das Windows-Update <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/help\/4055038\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KB4055038<\/a> hin (danke daf\u00fcr). Das Update vom 21. November 2017 ist f\u00fcr Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1 sowie f\u00fcr Windows Server 2008 und Windows Server 2012 verf\u00fcgbar. Laut Microsoft fixt es folgendes Problem:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>This update addresses an issue that prevents some Epson SIDM (Dot Matrix) and TM (POS) printers from printing on x86-based and x64-based systems.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Das Update adressiert also den Printer-Bug bei Epson Matrix-und POS-Druckern auf Windows-Systemen. Davon sind Windows-Systeme betroffen, auf denen folgende Updates installiert wurden.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2017-11 Monthly Rollup \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-US\/help\/4048958\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KB4048958<\/a> (Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard)<\/li>\n<li>2017-11 Security-only update \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-US\/help\/4048961\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KB4048961<\/a> (Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard, Windows 8.1)<\/li>\n<li>2017-11 Monthly Rollup \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/de-de\/help\/4048957\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KB4048957<\/a> (Windows 7)<\/li>\n<li>2017-11 Security-only update \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/de-de\/help\/4048960\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KB4048960<\/a> (Windows 7)<\/li>\n<li>2017-11 Monthly Rollup \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/de-de\/help\/4048959\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KB4048959<\/a> (Windows Server 2012)<\/li>\n<li>2017-11 Security-only update \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/de-de\/help\/4048962\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KB4048962<\/a> (Windows Server 2012)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Das Update wird \u00fcber Windows Update verteilt, steht aber auch im <a href=\"http:\/\/catalog.update.microsoft.com\/v7\/site\/Search.aspx?q=KB4055038\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Microsoft Update Catalog<\/a> zum manuellen Download und zur Installation zur Verf\u00fcgung.<\/p>\n<p>Installiert erst das deinstallierte Rollup vom 14.11.2017 und dann das neue Korrektur-Update.\u00a0Damit sollte es wieder m\u00f6glich sein, die oben genannten Updates vom 14. November 2017 auf den genannten Maschinen zu installieren (und dann das Update KB4055038 nachinstallieren), um, z.B. in Praxen, Nadeldrucker von Epson wieder ansteuern zu k\u00f6nnen. Ein entsprechendes Update f\u00fcr die diversen Windows 10 Versionen habe ich (bis auf die V1703, siehe Linkliste) bisher noch nicht gefunden. Falls euch etwas diesbez\u00fcglich unter die Augen kommt, k\u00f6nnt ihr ja einen Kommentar hinterlassen.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Anmerkung:<\/strong> Es klang in den Kommentaren schon an, ich w\u00fcrde noch einige Tage warten und hier schauen, ob Kollateralsch\u00e4den gemeldet werden. Neben langer Installationszeit habe ich nachfolgend gelesen, dass das Update mit dem Fix einen anderen Drucker blockiert habe. Kann aber ein Einzelfall gewesen sein.
