[English<\/a>]Kurze Information f\u00fcr Administratoren, die einen WSUS betreiben. Nach zahlreichen Synchronisationsproblemen im September 2018 hat Microsoft die Nacht einen ganzen Schwung an Funktionsupdates (Feature-Updates) f\u00fcr Windows 10 im WSUS (erneut) freigegeben. Zudem sind auch Updates f\u00fcr Windows 7 und Windows 8.1 dabei, die das Upgrade auf Windows 10 unterst\u00fctzen. Hier eine Zusammenfassung, samt Hinweisen auf einige 'Ungereimtheiten'. Jetzt haben mich Blog-Leser Markus K. und Timo S. unabh\u00e4ngig voneinander per Mail auf die n\u00e4chste Update-Welle zum 28. September 2018 aufmerksam gemacht, die den WSUS trifft. Danke an die beiden f\u00fcr die Info. Da einige Admins mit WSUS ja heftige Synchronisierungs-Probleme haben, noch ein kleiner Schlenker.<\/p>\n

WSUS Sync-\u00c4rger im September 2018<\/h2>\n

In den letzten Wochen litten Administratoren von WSUS-Systemen ja massiv unter Synchronisationsfehlern (siehe Links am Ende dieses Artikels). Es scheint, dass auf der Seite von Microsoft etwas kaputt ist. Einige Benutzer schrieben mir, dass WSUS immer mal wieder einige Stunden synchronisiert, um dann wieder massive Sync-Fehler zu liefern.<\/p>\n

Microsoft hat Anfang des Monats bereits einige Office-Updates f\u00fcr September 2018 wieder freigegeben, um ein Problem mit der WSUS-Synchronisierung zu beheben.\u00a0 Andere Benutzer schrieben mir, dass sie keine WSUS-Sync-Probleme h\u00e4tten. Blog-Leser Markus K. schrieb auf meine heutige Nachfrage:<\/p>\n

die Sync-Probleme sind bei mir am 2016 WSUS und am 2008R2 WSUS seit 12.09.2018 eigentlich vollst\u00e4ndig verschwunden.<\/p>\n

Vielleicht liegt es an den gew\u00e4hlten Produkten?<\/p>\n

Ich habe hier am WSUS 2016 nur Windows 10, Silverlight und Office 2016 und auch nicht alle Klassifikationen. Aber bis man die alle durch-iteriert hat ist man im Irrenhaus. Am 2008R2 kommen nur Office 2013 und Office 2010 mit Windows 7 dazu.<\/p>\n

Ich kann die Sync-Probleme f\u00fcr mich hier leider nicht nachvollziehen.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Blog-Leser Markus K. informierte mich per Mail, dass sein WSUS die Nacht zum 28. September 2018 ganze 35 Feature Updates f\u00fcr Windows 10 synchronisiert habe.<\/p>\n

Von Microsoft gibt es (m.W.) keine Erkl\u00e4rung f\u00fcr diese Neuauflage der Funktionsupdates.<\/del> Verwunderlich ist auch, dass Updates f\u00fcr Windows 10 Pro Version 1703 im WSUS angeboten werden. Das Ende der Lebensdauer (EOL) f\u00fcr Windows 10 V1703 f\u00fcr Home und Pro ist der 9. Oktober 2018 ist. Nur die Enterprise und Education Editionen erhalten laut Microsoft noch Updates bis zum 9. Oktober 2019.<\/p>\n

Erg\u00e4nzung: Erkl\u00e4rung Microsofts f\u00fcr die Updates<\/h2>\n

Ein Blog-Leser hat einen Link zum Microsoft-Artikel\u00a0Reduced Windows 10 package size downloads for x64 systems<\/a>\u00a0geliefert, der einiges zu diesen neu freigegebenen Updates erkl\u00e4rt.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, September 27th, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. PT, commercial customers using Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) or connected to System Center Configuration Manager will see a new feature update available for Windows 10, versions 1703, 1709, and 1803. This new update is the result of listening to feedback from commercial customers like you, who want smaller packages for download from Microsoft to distribution and deployment systems.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Klingt logisch, man stellt f\u00fcr Oktober 2018 auf die optimierte Paketgr\u00f6\u00dfe um und gibt daher die Updates neu f\u00fcr WSUS und SCCM frei. Im Artikel werden auch Erkl\u00e4rungen f\u00fcr die im nachfolgenden Abschnitt aufgeworfenen Merkw\u00fcrdigkeiten, wie 32-Bit-Updates f\u00fcr 64-Bit-Windows 10 geliefert. Es gibt schlicht keine 32-Bit-Pakete im optimierten Format – man muss bei Bedarf die alten Pakete mit 32+64-Bit verwenden.<\/p>\n

Weitere Merkw\u00fcdigkeiten bei den WSUS-Updates<\/h2>\n

Blog-Leser Timo S. informierte mich separat per Mail, dass sein WSUS auch Windows Updates zum Upgrade auf Windows 10 erhalten hat. Der folgende Screenshot enth\u00e4lt nicht nur Windows 10 Feature-Upgrades, sondern auch Updates f\u00fcr Windows 7 und Windows 8.1 zum Upgrade auf Windows 10 V1703, V1709 und V1803.<\/p>\n

In seiner Mail wies mich Blog-Leser Timo S darauf hin, dass Microsoft wohl ein 32-Bit-Upgrade f\u00fcr 64-Bit-Systeme anbiete (siehe letzter Eintrag im Screenshot oben). Laut Timo haben sie nur zwei oder drei 32-Bit-Systeme im Einsatz. Aber unter den 711-Ger\u00e4ten, f\u00fcr die das 32-Update vorgesehen sei, w\u00e4re sein 64-Bit-Testsystem darunter gewesen – und der Link f\u00fcr die 32\/64-Bit-Updates zeigt auf die gleiche URL. In einem Nachtrag schrieb mir Timo S.:<\/p>\n

– die \"x64\" Version ist neu von gestern (siehe Bild) und ersetzt ein \"nicht x64\" Upgrade – aber nicht das aktuelle, sondern eine alte<\/strong> Version!<\/p>\n
