Das Ganze verspricht bessere Kontraste, h\u00f6here Helligkeit und eine breitere Farbpalette. Es geht darum, dass Filme und TV-Sendungen (4K HDR Videos) noch lebenswirklicher wirken sollen. Die <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/High-dynamic-range_video\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wikipedia<\/a> und <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trustedreviews.com\/opinion\/hdr-tv-high-dynamic-television-explained-2927035\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">diese Seite<\/a> sowie <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20190207144706\/https:\/\/www.techhive.com\/article\/3310206\/consumer-electronics\/making-sense-of-4k-hdr-streaming-devices.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dieser Artikel<\/a> befassen sich mit HDR. <\/p>\n<p>Auf Microsoft Answers <a href=\"https:\/\/answers.microsoft.com\/en-us\/surface\/forum\/surfpro6-surfdrivers\/surface-pro-6-cant-stream-hdr-content-to-an\/cb6d32a2-25cd-4d67-824b-fa8054861db2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">beschwert sich dieser Benutzer<\/a>, dass sein Surface Pro 6-Modell offenbar keine HDR-Inhalte streamen kann:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Surface Pro 6 &#8211; Can't stream HDR content to an external tv at 4k 60hz<\/h3>\n<p>Hello,  <\/p>\n<p>I just bought a Surface Pro 6 (i7-8650U &#8211; 16 GB RAM) and can't stream HDR content towards a 4k OLED LG monitor.  <\/p>\n<p>My monitor is capable of HDR, since I use it with my XBOX ONE X (the HDR icon correctly appears).  <\/p>\n<p>I have connected that monitor to my surface pro 6 (using the same Xbox one x cable and TV port) and indeed I can see that the PC is able to select 4k 60hz, so cables and tv are fine.  <\/p>\n<p>Then I enabled stream HDR on the HDR settings in windows.  <\/p>\n<p>After that I installed the HEVC codecs from the Microsoft store as suggested in: <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/help\/4040547\/windows-10-display-requirements-hdr-video\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/help\/4040547\/windows-10-display-requirements-hdr-video<\/a>  <\/p>\n<p>after all this I still can see 8 bit color depth in my advanced display settings for the 4k external monitor instead of the required 10 bit color depth for HDR.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>I know the integrated Intel UHD 620 can stream hdr but all the suggestions didn't work.  <\/p>\n<p>what did I do wrong?  <\/p>\n<p>I also followed strictly this page:  <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/help\/4040547\/windows-10-display-requirements-hdr-video\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/help\/4040255\/windows-10-stream-hdr-video<\/a>  <\/p>\n<p>but couldn't see the option \"<strong>Windows HD Color settings<\/strong>\". why isn't it there?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Im Verlauf des Theads stellt sich dann heraus, dass f\u00fcr das Streamen von HDR-Inhalten bestimmte Versionen des DisplayPorts mit 10-Bit-Support ben\u00f6tigt werden.  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>DisplayPort Version 1.2 unterst\u00fctzt nur 8 Bit  <\/li>\n<li>DisplayPort Version 1.4 unterst\u00fctzt 10 Bit <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Nur mit einem DisplayPort Version 1.4 w\u00e4re also die Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr 10 Bit gegeben. Die spannende Frage ist, ob das Surface Pro 6 einen DisplayPort Version 1.4 aufweist. Nur dann gibt es zumindest theoretisch die Chance auf ein HDR-Streaming. In <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/am-et\/help\/4039635\/connect-surface-to-a-tv-display-or-projector\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">diesem Microsoft-Dokument<\/a> habe ich nur Hinweise auf DisplayPort Version 1.2 gefunden, so dass kein HDR-Streaming m\u00f6glich ist.
