Unter anderem gibt es das Sicherheitsupdate KB4524244, welches auf AMD-Ger\u00e4ten zu \u00c4rger f\u00fchrt. <strong>Erg\u00e4nzung:<\/strong> Das Update wurde zur\u00fcckgezogen &#8211; Details im Text.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vg01.met.vgwort.de\/na\/05ec65e06be946a6aaf9f5ffce546707\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/>Im Blog-Beitrag <a href=\"https:\/\/borncity.com\/blog\/2020\/02\/12\/patchday-updates-fr-windows-7-8-1-server-11-februar-2020\/\">Patchday: Updates f\u00fcr Windows 7\/8.1\/Server (11. Februar 2020)<\/a> hatte ich auf das das UEFI-Update <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/help\/4502496\/security-update-for-windows-10-version-1507-windows-8-1-rt-8-1-server\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">KB4502496<\/a> f\u00fcr Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows RT 8.1, Windows Server 2012 R2 und Windows Server 2012 hingewiesen.<\/p>\n<h2>Update KB4524244 f\u00fcr Windows 10<\/h2>\n<p>Das Sicherheitsupdate <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/help\/4524244\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">KB4524244<\/a> f\u00e4llt in die gleiche Richtung. Laut Microsoft f\u00fchrt dieses Sicherheitsupdate zu Qualit\u00e4tsverbesserungen bei den unterst\u00fctzten Windows 10-Versionen. Es soll ein UEFI-Problem beheben:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Behebt ein Problem, bei dem ein Unified Extensible Firmware Interface(UEFI)-Start-Manager eines Drittanbieters UEFI-f\u00e4hige Computer m\u00f6glicherweise einem Sicherheitsrisiko aussetzt.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Microsoft verweist zwar auf weitere Informationen auf <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20201103231726\/https:\/\/portal.msrc.microsoft.com\/security-guidance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">der Sicherheitsseite<\/a>. Dort habe ich aber keinen Eintrag f\u00fcr das Update gefunden. Der Patch steht f\u00fcr laut KB-Beitrag f\u00fcr folgende Windows 10-Versionen zur Verf\u00fcgung.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Windows 10 Version 1903<\/li>\n<li>Windows 10 Version 1809<\/li>\n<li>Windows 10 Version 1803<\/li>\n<li>Windows 10 Version 1709<\/li>\n<li>Windows 10Version 1703<\/li>\n<li>Windows 10 Version 1607<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Was in obiger Liste auff\u00e4llt: Windows 10 Version 1909 fehlt. Hat man vergessen, da das Update im <a href=\"https:\/\/www.catalog.update.microsoft.com\/Search.aspx?q=KB4524244\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Microsoft Update Catalog<\/a> auch f\u00fcr diese Windows 10-Build aufgef\u00fchrt wurde, und auch der WSUS das Paket erh\u00e4lt, wie Woody Leonhard <a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerworld.com\/article\/3526558\/patch-tuesday-99-holes-exploited-ie-fix-win7-mayhem-and-uefi-ghost.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">hier<\/a> anmerkt. Im <a href=\"https:\/\/www.catalog.update.microsoft.com\/ScopedViewInline.aspx?updateid=1031f66f-e0cf-4a1e-a909-b329b8bc180b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Microsoft Update Catalog<\/a> ist f\u00fcr KB4524244 aber der KB-Artikel <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/help\/4504418\/servicing-stack-update-kb4504418\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">KB4504418<\/a> verlinkt (ob das Sinn macht, bezweifele ich). Das Update wird \u00fcber Windows Update, per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.catalog.update.microsoft.com\/ScopedViewInline.aspx?updateid=1031f66f-e0cf-4a1e-a909-b329b8bc180b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Microsoft Update Catalog<\/a> und \u00fcber den WSUS verteilt. Ein Neustart ist nach der Update-Installation nicht erforderlich.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00c4rger auf AMD-Maschinen?<\/h2>\n<p>Kurz nach Freigabe des Update meldete sich ein Nutzer auf <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/Windows10\/comments\/f35o6i\/anyone_having_trouble_with_kb4524244_it_hangs_and\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reddit.com und berichtete<\/a> \u00fcber b\u00f6se Probleme.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Anyone having trouble with KB4524244? It hangs and then when I force reboot, HP BIOS says it detected an unauthorized change to the secure boot keys and had to restore.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Der Nutzer gibt an, das Update auf einem HP Elitedesk 705 G4 micro installiert zu haben. Im betreffenden Thread melden sich weitere Nutzer, die ein 'H\u00e4ngen' der Maschine nach der Update-Installation berichten.<\/p>\n<h3>BIOS meldet eine nicht autorisierte \u00c4nderung des secure boot key<\/h3>\n<p>Da das HP BIOS eine nicht autorisierte \u00c4nderungen des Secure Boot-Keys bem\u00e4ngelt und den Start verweigert, hat es den Leuten geholfen, den Secure Boot abzuschalten. Inzwischen haben sich weitere Nutzer gemeldet. Einer empfiehlt Betroffenen die Update-Installation f\u00fcr 30 Tage zur\u00fcckzustellen \u2013 in der Hoffnung, dass es einen Fix gibt.<\/p>\n<h3>Installationsfehler 0x800f0922<\/h3>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/Windows10\/comments\/f2caz6\/cumulative_updates_february_11th_2020\/fhbqk99\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">diesem reddit.com-Thread<\/a> gibt ein Benutzer <em>LordDeath86<\/em> an, dass er einen Installationsfehler 0x800f0922 bekomme:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>After installing the update for 1909 I got a new pending security update KB4524244 and it always fails with error 0x800f0922.<\/p>\n<p>And again Google and Bing are failing me here because that error code can mean anything from bad VPN software (don't have any) to a too small system partition (also not the case here) to a bad star constellation that sends cosmic rays into my PC and let the update fail.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3>System friert ein<\/h3>\n<p>Auf Microsoft Answers gibt es <a href=\"https:\/\/answers.microsoft.com\/en-us\/windows\/forum\/all\/2020-02-updates-kb4524244-locks-up-my-computer-and\/b3cb2162-79aa-4870-a645-ac8a2e5a7ef6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">diesen Forenbeitrag<\/a> vom 12. Februar 2020, in dem ein Benutzer ebenfalls b\u00f6se Probleme meldet:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>2020-02 Updates KB4524244 Locks Up My Computer and Fails Install<\/p>\n<p>I received the Patch Tuesday releases today.\u00a0 KB4532693, KB4537759 and KB4538674 dropped in the first wave and all installed successfully.\u00a0 On a subsequent \"Check for Updates\"\u00a0 KB4524244 downloaded and installed but on the reboot, it rebooted the first time but froze hard on the second re-boot with Step 2 information and a frozen spinner on my screen, no keyboard or any access.\u00a0 After about 15 mins I finally forced the system down.\u00a0 On the reboot, my Secure Boot flagged me that the keys were corrupted.\u00a0 I was able to get those repaired and reboot into the system.\u00a0 I rebooted a couple more times but no updates attempted to install.\u00a0 On a third \"Check for updates, the same (KB4524244) update attempted to download but freezes the system at 94% on the download.\u00a0 Again freezes hard requiring a hard re-set.\u00a0 I tried flushing the Software Distribution cache but get the same results.<\/p>\n<p>FYI:\u00a0 I am running Windows defender with VBS (Credential Guard and Hypervisor enforced Code Integrity on an HP EliteDesk 705 G4 MT with a AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 2400G with Radeon Vega Graphics.\u00a0 I also have a similar set up running on an HP laptop (Intel i5), but the update installed fine on it.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"HP Sure Start Recovery Error\" src=\"https:\/\/i.imgur.com\/JwLBnqN.jpg\" alt=\"HP Sure Start Recovery Error\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Im Thread wird von einem zweiten Nutzer HP Sure Start Recovery erw\u00e4hnt, welches auf mehreren Maschinen mit AMD Ryzen CPUs ein Booten verhindert (siehe obiges Bild). Auch Dell Server scheinen laut einem weiteren Post in diesem Thread betroffen. Auch Apple-Maschinen mit Bootcamp sind betroffen. Bei Dr. Windows fasst ein Nutzer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.drwindows.de\/news\/patchday-februar-2020-frische-updates-fuer-windows-10\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">in den Kommentaren<\/a> das so zusammen:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Also das Security Update KB4524244 macht wohl mit AMD Systeme Probleme. Die Installation bleibt h\u00e4ngen und HP Sure Start meldet: \"HP Sure Start detected an unauthorized change to the Secure Boot Keys&#8230;\".<br \/>\nDanach kann KB4524244 nicht fertig installiert werden 0x800f0900<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3>AMD Threadripper-Prozessor Kernel Limiting<\/h3>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/Windows10\/comments\/f35o6i\/anyone_having_trouble_with_kb4524244_it_hangs_and\/fhi3odn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">diesem Post<\/a> gibt ein Nutzer an, dass der Patch beim AMD Threadripper-Prozessor die Nutzung auf 20 Cores begrenzt:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>If you are running a 3970x threadripper, it limits you to only using 20 cores, I uninstalled it and went back to using all 32 cores.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/wccftech.com\/yet-another-windows-10-update-breaks-things\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">diesem Blog-Beitrag<\/a> hat jemand das mit zusammen gefasst. Macht nat\u00fcrlich Laune. Jemand betroffen?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Achtung:<\/strong> Das Update wurde wegen zahlreicher Probleme von Microsoft zur\u00fcckgezogen und wird auch nicht mehr wiederkommen. Deinstalliert das Update, falls es erfolgreich installiert wurde.
