Zum sp\u00e4ten Freitag (Pacific Time) hat Microsoft das UEFI-Sicherheitsupdate KB4524244 zur\u00fcckgezogen.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Probleme mit Update KB4524244<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vg02.met.vgwort.de\/na\/f943f4fa4641481288c34e19053f932e\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/>Ich hatte das 'Standalone-Update' <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/help\/4524244\/\">KB4524244<\/a> ja diese Woche im Blog-Beitrag <a href=\"https:\/\/borncity.com\/blog\/2020\/02\/14\/windows-10-uefi-update-kb4524244-verursacht-probleme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Windows 10: UEFI-Update KB4524244 verursacht Probleme<\/a> thematisiert. Dort hatte ich auch darauf hingewiesen, dass dieses Update zahlreiche Probleme verursacht und zu Boot-Problemen auf AMD-Ger\u00e4ten f\u00fchrt.<\/p>\n<p>Die Kommentare, auch hier im Blog, best\u00e4tigten mir, dass es auch deutsche Nutzer betrifft \u2013 obwohl mein Testsystem mit Windows 10 dieses Update klaglos gefressen hat. Die gl\u00fccklichsten Nutzer waren noch die, bei denen die Installation von Update KB4524244 mit dem Fehler 0x800f0922 abbrach (wie <a href=\"https:\/\/borncity.com\/blog\/2020\/02\/14\/windows-10-uefi-update-kb4524244-verursacht-probleme\/#comment-85159\">hier<\/a>). Bei HP-Systemen verhinderte HP Sure Start Recovery auf AMD-Maschinen ein Booten, falls Secure Boot aktiviert und das Update installiert war.<\/p>\n<h2>Microsoft zieht Update KB4524244 zur\u00fcck<\/h2>\n<p>Inzwischen hat Microsoft Probleme beim UEFI-Sicherheitsupdate <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/help\/4524244\/\">KB4524244<\/a> einger\u00e4umt und dieses zur\u00fcckgezogen. Sowohl Blog-Leser Gerold (siehe <a href=\"https:\/\/borncity.com\/blog\/2020\/02\/14\/windows-10-uefi-update-kb4524244-verursacht-probleme\/#comment-85255\">diesen Kommentar<\/a>, danke daf\u00fcr), als auch andere Leute wie Barb Bowman wiesen mich auf auf diesen Umstand hin.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"hu\">Microsoft has pulled buggy <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WindowsUpdate?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@windowsupdate<\/a> KB4524244 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/1pifZgKGDL\">https:\/\/t.co\/1pifZgKGDL<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/64lp0cl06G\">pic.twitter.com\/64lp0cl06G<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Barb Bowman (@barbbowman) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/barbbowman\/status\/1228680044316438528?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 15, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Im deutschsprachigen KB-Beitrag Supportartikel findet sich noch nichts \u2013 aber der englischsprachige <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/help\/4524244\/security-update-for-windows-10-february-11-2020\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">KB-Beitrag<\/a> wurde um folgende Aussagen erweitert:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Using the \"Reset this PC\" feature, also called \"Push Button Reset\" or PBR, might fail. You might restart into recovery with \"Choose an option\" at the top of the screen with various options or you might restart to desktop and receive the error \"There was a problem resetting your PC\".<\/li>\n<li>You might encounter issues trying to install or after installing KB4524244.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Also hat das Update gravierende Kollateralsch\u00e4den \u00fcber das, was ich im oben erw\u00e4hnten Blog-Beitrag erw\u00e4hnt habe. Speziell die kaputte 'PC Zur\u00fccksetzen'-Funktion ist krass. Microsoft hat daher das Update zur\u00fcckgezogen:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>This standalone security update has been removed due to an issue affecting a sub-set of devices. It will not be re-offered from Windows Update, Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) or Microsoft Update Catalog.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Barb Bowman verweist in obigem Tweet auf die <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20210207085323\/https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/windows\/release-information\/status-windows-10-1909\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Windows 10 Version 1909 Statusseite<\/a>, wo zum 15. Februar 2020 folgender Eintrag hinzugef\u00fcgt wurde.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><b>\"Reset this PC\" feature might fail<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Using the \"Reset this PC\" feature, also called \"Push Button Reset\" or PBR, might fail. You might restart into recovery with \"Choose an option\" at the top of the screen with various options or you might restart to your desktop and receive the error \"There was a problem resetting your PC\".<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Auch dort gibt es die Information, dass das Update zur\u00fcckgezogen sei \u2013 Microsoft wird es auch nicht mehr anbieten, sondern unter neuer KB-Nummer in aktualisierter Fassung auflegen.<\/p>\n<h2>Update auf jeden Fall deinstallieren!<\/h2>\n<p>Im englischsprachigen <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/help\/4524244\/security-update-for-windows-10-february-11-2020\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">KB-Beitrag<\/a> gibt Microsoft Hinweise, was man bei Problemen tun kann: N\u00e4mlich das Update deinstallieren. Wird von einigen Leuten (z.B. <a href=\"https:\/\/borncity.com\/blog\/2020\/02\/14\/windows-10-uefi-update-kb4524244-verursacht-probleme\/#comment-85248\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">hier<\/a>) so interpretiert: 'wenn das Update keine Probleme macht, lasse es drauf''. Was man normalerweise so macht, kann ich im speziellen Fall aus meiner Sicht so nicht stehen lassen.
