Ursache k\u00f6nnten die verwendete Antivirus-Software sein, die von der Software erzeugte Log-Dateien scannen m\u00f6chte.<\/p>\n

Blog-Leser Michael K. hat mich die Woche per Mail kontaktiert, um mich \u00fcber ein Problem mit der Splashtop Streamer-L\u00f6sung der Version 3.5.6.0 zu informieren (danke daf\u00fcr). Michael schrieb:<\/p>\n

ich wollte sie auf ein Problem mit Splashtop Streamer in Kombination mit Antivirusl\u00f6sungen aufmerksam machen. <\/p>\n

Und zwar schreibt laut einem Techniker [der Firma] Splastop mit dem Update v3.5.6.0 tempor\u00e4re Dateien, auf welche die Virenscanner anspringen und die CPU und Festplattenauslastung in die H\u00f6he schrauben. <\/p>\n

Splashtop Streamer ist in unserem Falle im NinjaRMM, ein Remoteverwaltungstool, integriert und auf den virtuellen Servern in einer VMware Umgebung l\u00e4uft SentinelOne als Antivirenschutz. <\/p>\n

Dadurch war bei uns die komplette ESXi \u00fcberlastet und ein normales Arbeiten war f\u00fcr die Mitarbeiter nicht mehr m\u00f6glich. <\/p>\n

Eventuell hat der eine oder andere Admin auch mit diesem Problem zu k\u00e4mpfen. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Issue:<\/strong> We have received reports of an issue involving high-resource utilization from Splashtop and various antivirus products. This issue appears to be related to Splashtop Streamer v3.5.6.0. <\/p>\n

Per Splashtop, this is likely due to how Splashtop utilizes WMI to gather system and hardware inventory conflicting with scheduled or on-access AV scans. Splashtop's Development Team expects that this will be fixed in their next update, v3.5.8.0. <\/p>\n

Workaround: <\/p>\n

1. Splashtop has recommended that you create an AV exclusion for the entire Splashtop Program Files (x86) directory. If this exclusion does not work for your particular AV, please work with your AV's Support Team to determine the necessary exclusions that need to be made. <\/p>\n

2. If you do not wish to create an AV exclusion, you can disable Splashtop per device or per organization. Instructions on Splashtop removal can be found in Uninstalling Integrated Components. <\/p>\n

Please note that Splashtop client updates are controlled by Splashtop. Please see this Splashtop article for more information about automatic Splashtop Streamer updates. <\/p>\n

Solution:<\/strong> Splashtop independently controls its update channels and will gradually roll out 3 5.8.0 on applicable devices. Ninja does not have the ability to control which devices are targeted, as updates are pushed out directly by Splashtop on a rolling basis.
