Flash Player security updates – also for Windows (KB3132372)

Windows UpdateAdobe has released an extraordinary security update for Flash Player. Also Microsoft offers security updates for Flash player in Internet Explorer and Edge Browser via Windows Update.


Adobe has released on December 28, 2015 a security update for Flash Player to close several vulerabilities described in APSB16-01. Adobe Flash Player till version for Windows and OS X is vulnerable. Users are requested to install Adobe Flash Player version for Windows and OS X (downloads are linked at APSB16-01).

Microsoft issued security update KB3132372 (Microsoft security advisory: Update for vulnerabilities in Adobe Flash Player in Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge: December 29, 2015) for:

  • Internet Explorer in Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows 10, and Windows 10 Version 1511
  • Microsoft Edge in Windows 10, and Windows 10 Version 1511

Users of Google Chrome browser are requested to upgrade Chrome to the least recent version, to get the updated build in Flash Player.

BTW: The Flash Player version already installed, may be detected visiting this Adobe-Site within a browser.
