Microsoft will release Windows 10 Creators Update for Desktop and mobile in Im April 2017. Now more and more details are announced from Microsoft. Here is an overview.
Windows 10 Creators Update in Release Preview Ring
Windows 10 Creators Update Build 15063 has been released 10 days ago in Fast Ring for Windows Insiders (Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 15063 released) and later the Slow Ring received this build. Also ISO images and an update wizard are available (see Windows 10 Build 15063: ISOs and upgrade wizard available). Now Microsoft has announced within this Windows blog post, that build 15063 is also available in Release Preview Ring (the ring just before a build is released to all users).
Rollout starts at April 11, 2017
Microsoft starts the rollout of Windows 10 Windows 10 Creators Update at April 11, 2017 (see Windows 10 Creators Update rollout begins April 11, 2017). But it doesn’t mean every Windows 10 user is receiving Version 1703 immediately, Windows 10 Creators Update will be released in waves. Newer machines will receive this update earlier.
Upgrade is possible after April 5, 2017
Microsoft offers an Update wizard to move from Windows 10 Anniversary Update to Windows 10 Creators Update. Within this blog post Microsoft announced, that the upgrade to Windows 10 Creators Update will be possible after April 5, 2017. Microsoft has created this website, that will offer the wizard for download from April 5, 2017 onward.
BTW: The Tool Windows10Upgrade.exe may be downloaded from here, so you are able to upgrade immediately (but I won’t recommend that, just wait, until the first bugs are discovered and fixed).
Windows 10 Mobile Creators Update comes on April 25, 2017
User of Windows 10 Mobile devices will receive Windows 10 Mobile Creators Update after April 25, 2017. This has been announced within a blog post from Microsoft.
