Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17763 the Final!

It’s just a rumor: Is the Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17763 declared as a final for the upcoming Windows 10 October 2018 Update (Version 1809)? Here are what I know. Addendum: It’s confirmed.

I’ve reported yesterday that Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17763 in Slow Ring arrived for Insiders in slow ring. But I mentioned also, that I don’t believe, that this build is a final – also Microsoft says in Windows Blog, they are not ready (there are bugs).

Russian former leaker WZOR has just posted the above tweet. If it’s true, what OEMs has told him, Windows Server 2019 has been signed off last Friday (Sept. 21, 2018) as release version, based on build 17763. Also for the LTSC and SAC branches a so-called ‘signoff’ took place, i.e. Microsoft’s officials have defined these builds as ready for later distribution. So we might get Windows 10 October 2018 update basing of this build branch. But I think there will be some more updates for this version (to fix some bugs).

Addendum: WindowsUpdateBox.exe found

German site reported here, that Abbodi discovered the download links for the program WindowsUpdateBox.exe. This program may be used within Windows 10 to upgrade to the least recent Windows (Windows 10 V1809).

A look at the details of the WindowsUpdateBox shows the file version 10.0.17763.1 – digitally signed on September 15, 2018. This confirms that build 17763 is the ‘RTM’ of Windows 10 V1803. Here are the download addresses of the WindowsUpdateBox.

Maybe it’s to early, ‘windowsupdatebox_c4730008a3838ba95ad91fb47776d7d466be740e.exe’ doesn’t seem to work @ this time (tried the 64-bit version)? Also hope it’s in English, as I’m in the US.
