Adobe Acrobat Security Update (October 2018)

PDF[German]On October 1, 2018, Adobe released a security update for its two products Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader. This security update fixes a total of 86 vulnerabilities in these products.

I just came across the clue on Bleeping Computers and was lshocked by the amount of security issues addressed. Adobe published the Security Bulletin APSB18-30 on October 1, 2018 and assigned the priority 2 for the vulnerabilities. The following table lists the fixed products.

Adobe points out that support for Adobe Acrobat 11.x and Adobe Reader 11.x expired on October 15, 2017.  Version 11.0.23 is the final release for Adobe Acrobat 11.x and Adobe Reader 11.x. Adobe strongly recommends that you upgrade to the latest versions of Adobe Acrobat DC and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

Ideally, the products should be updated to the corrected versions via an auto-update. Otherwise, an update search can be triggered in the product (see).
