KB4462923 (Monthly Rollup) for Windows 7/Windows Server 2008 R2

Update KB4462923 (Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1) contains improvements and bug fixes that were already included in last month’s update. The update addresses:

Security updates to Windows Media Player, Windows Graphics, Microsoft Graphics Component, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Windows Kernel, and the Microsoft JET Database Engine.

The update is automatically downloaded and installed by Windows Update. It can also be downloaded from the Microsoft Update Catalog.

Note: The KB article again contains the hint that the update has the problem that the NIC (network interface controller) does not work anymore due to a missing .inf file from a third party manufacturer. A remedy is to have the NIC reinstalled via the Device Manager.
