Blog has been down

Just a short note to my blog readers. All my blogs at borncity.com has been unreachable on Wednesday April 10, 2019. The reason: My provider had blocked my web package due to heavy traffic.

Things went worse within the last 14 days. On March 30, 2019 I had upgrades my webspace package (a German GoDaddy subsidary). First distributing the new IP address to all DNS servers may take up to 48 hours – but due to a misconfiguration, the blogs wasn’t reachable for 4 days – until my provider found the flaw. Then they switched off my new booked web package without a warning on Wednesday April 10, 2019, because my tiny blogs eats to much ressources on a shared server.

Yesterday I moved to a separat web server, the hoster offered to me. I got a new IP address – and now it take up to 48 hours to distribut this address to all DNS servers. I have had also some issues with caching – hope I’ve fixed it. If things are going well, the site will be in normal operation from this evening. Thanks for your convenience – hope I can now continue with blogging.

    Gunter,

I am reading this in Canada at 12:10 MDT, I believe GMT -6, but don’t quote me.

All seems to be well for now.
