[German]Microsoft has released Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18898 (from development branch 20H1) for Windows Insider in Fast Ring and Skip Ahead Ring. Here is some information about this build.

The announcement with details about new features/changes and bugs can be found in the Windows blog. The ‘big innovation’ of this build, according to Microsoft, is that the disk type is displayed in the Task Manager on the Performance tab.

Furthermore, this build now includes the following fixes and improvements:

  • Fxed for an issue resulting in a high hitting DWM crash in recent builds.
  • Fxed for a pcshell.dll issue in recent builds resulting in a high hitting explorer.exe crash.
  • Fxed for an issue where updated Japanese IME settings would be never applied in certain desktop bridge apps, which could result in prediction candidates being shown even after they’d been disabled in the IME settings. For those who’ve already been impacted by this, you’ll need to reset the app Settings > Apps > <select the app> > Advanced Options > Reset before you see the results of this fix.

However, the list of known bugs and errors is much longer and can be viewed here.
