On August 17, and 19, 2019 more updates for Windows 10 has been released.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>What's the point?<\/h2>\n<p>With the updates of August 13, 2019, Microsoft cut VBScript support in Internet Explorer. A short time later, users noticed issues with Visual Basic support (VB6, VBA and VBScript). Corresponding modules caused errors in certain constellations. I had mentioned this in the blog post <a href=\"https:\/\/borncity.com\/win\/2019\/08\/15\/august-2019-updates-issues-with-vb6-vba-and-vbscript\/\">August 2019 Updates: Issues with VB6, VBA and VBScript<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Microsoft releases new Updates<\/h2>\n<p>Blog reader EP has left <a href=\"https:\/\/borncity.com\/win\/2019\/08\/15\/august-2019-updates-issues-with-vb6-vba-and-vbscript\/#comment-5258\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">this comment<\/a> (thank you) mentions that Microsoft released updated updates for Windows on August 16, 2019 which are supposed to fix the issues with VB6, VBA and VBScript.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/de-de\/help\/4517297\/windows-7-update-kb4517297\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">KB4517297<\/a> for Windows 7 und Windows Server 2008 R2,<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/de-de\/help\/4517301\/windows-server-2008-update-kb4517301\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">KB4517301<\/a> for Windows Server 2008 SP2,<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/de-de\/help\/4517298\/windows-8-1-update-kb4517298\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">KB4517298<\/a> for Windows 8.1 und Windows Server 2012 R2<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/de-de\/help\/4512494\/windows-10-update-kb4512494\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">KB4512494<\/a> for Windows 10 V1709<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For other Windows 10 builds (1809, 1903) Microsoft has partially released new updates on August 17, 2019 with VBA fixes.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/de-de\/help\/4512534\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">KB4512534<\/a> for Windows 10 Version 1809<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/de-de\/help\/4512495\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">KB4512495<\/a> for Windows 10 Version 1607<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/de-de\/help\/4517276\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">KB4517276<\/a> for Windows 10 Version 1507<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Addendum:<\/strong> On August 19 2019 Microsoft also released an update for Windows 10, that fixed the VB6, VBA and VBScript issue.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/help\/4512509\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">KB4512509<\/a> for Windows 10 Version 1803<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Now the updates for Windows 10 Version 1903 is still missing. Note also the known issues documented within the linked support articles.
