It is a maintenance update which should fix bugs. Here is a brief overview of what changes in the new version. However, you should be careful when updating, as there can be problems with downloads under Windows 10 if the parental control is active.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Blog reader EP <a href=\"https:\/\/borncity.com\/win\/2019\/09\/19\/firefox-69-0-1-released\/#comment-5869\">left a comment<\/a> about the update &#8211; thanks for that. The following changes and bug fixes are listed in the Firefox <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/69.0.2\/releasenotes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">release notes<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A crash when editing files on Office 365 websites was fixed (bug 1579858).\n<li>The detection of Windows 10 Parental Control has been corrected and enabled (error 1584613).\n<li>Fixes a Linux crash when changing the playback speed while watching YouTube videos (Bug 158222222).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So the update fixes several minor bugs &#8211; but if you are not affected by the bugs, you should wait with the upgrade. According to Laut ghacks.net Firefox 70 will be released on October 22, 2019. <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The browser should be offered via auto-update or manual update search in the help menu. The new Firefox is also available for download here for various platforms.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2>Download issues in Windows 10<\/h2>\n<p>In Windows 10, downloads can no longer be performed if Parental Control is enabled. The bug is listed in the release notes under 'Unsesolved'::<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>File downloads may not work for Windows 10 users with Parental Control enabled.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/support.mozilla.org\/en-US\/kb\/unable-download-files-windows-10-parental-controls\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">this Mozilla article<\/a>, developers are working on the problem and want to provide a fix at some point.
