The service debuted on November 12, 2019 in the United States, Canada, and the Netherlands. Disney+ is focused on the film and television content from Walt Disney Studios and Walt Disney Television.[2] Original films and television series based on new and existing properties are also available, including content from Disney, 20th Century Fox, Lucasfilm/Star Wars, Marvel, National Geographic, and Pixar. The service competes with other general-interest subscription services, and complements ESPN+ and Hulu as part of Disney's over-the-top strategy.

Disney+ accounts hacked?

I noticed a couple of hours ago a Tweet from Catalin Cimpanu within my timeline which catched my attention.

Below are some screenshots of some hacking forums/marketplaces selling access to Disney+ accounts. In general, however, the launch of Disney+ seems to have been quite bumpy. Many users reported technical problems and that they could not stream their favorite movies and shows.

Disney+: There were some login, account, and streaming issues the morning of day one.

CBS All Access: HOLD MY SYNTHEHOL pic.twitter.com/S34WeSheVF

— Phantastic Geek ⭐️ (@PhantasticGeek) November 14, 2019

But that's nothing against what some users experience. On Twitter, there are a number of people who report sharing their Disney+ access with others and are looking forward to seeing the crap other users are looking at on their accounts. The following tweet, however, indicates that an account has been hacked.

DISNEY+ HAS BEEN OPEN FOR LIKE 10 HOURS AND MY ACCOUNT HAS ALREADY BEEN HACKED pic.twitter.com/YBv6CfwTlh

— brandon ʕ·ᴥ·ʔ (@brandoncult) November 12, 2019

ZDnet reports from countless similar tweets as well as postings on reddit.com and other platforms. Two users who were in contact with ZDNet stated that they did not share access data with third parties and used their own password for Disney+.

This indicates that in some cases hackers were given access to accounts using email and password combinations derived from other data leaks. In other cases, Disney+ credentials may have been collected from users via keylogging Trojans or maybe Phishing sites.

Currently credentials of the hacked Disney+ accounts are sold for 3 to 11 US $ in underground forums. ZDNet has posted some screenshots of such offers in this article.
