In some circumstances it's no more possible to setup a synchronization between Outlook and iCloud. <\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>First information on Twitter<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/vg04.met.vgwort.de\/na\/5cd7f304e7db4a24a12a2cc255284565\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\">Blog reader Karl has documented on Twitter with a few tweets on this issue. Karl has several customers\/users who can no longer synchronize with Apple's iCloud under Office365. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AppleSupport?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@AppleSupport<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Office365?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Office365<\/a> I have several users that cannot enable Outlook &lt;&gt; iCloud sync anymore, the error messages of icloud are plain wrong that there is no default profile.<br \/>Is it a new Office update causing this or icloud App <br \/>Office 365 2005 <br \/>icloud 11.2.18.0 from Store<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 al Qamar (Karl Wester-Ebbinghaus) (@tweet_alqamar) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/tweet_alqamar\/status\/1268484378881142785?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 4, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script> <\/p>\n<p>An Outlook synchronization problem is reported (see screenshot in the following tweet). But then the whole thing breaks off. Karl has reinstalled apps, checked the default profiles, and also cleaned up the <em>Appdata<\/em> and <em>localappdata<\/em> folders. None of these measures help. <\/p>\n<h2>Issue with Office 365 2004 <\/h2>\n<p>I got a second tweet from Woody Leonhard, indicating that the issues may have to do with Windows 10 Version 2004. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Reports of the Win10 version 2004 upgrade breaking Outlook calendar's interaction with iCloud calendar. Looks like there's a good workaround. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/PatchLady?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#PatchLady<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/GPlmYf3Bpp\">https:\/\/t.co\/GPlmYf3Bpp<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Woody Leonhard (@AskWoody) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AskWoody\/status\/1268688247544254474?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 4, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script> <\/p>\n<p>Susan Bradley has seen reports that the Windows 10 May 2020 Update (version 2004) is breaking synchronization between Outlook and the iCloud calendar. Quote from an affected person:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>BTW the only thing that didn't work properly after the Windows 10 2004 update was syncing my Outlook calendar on my PC with my iCloud calendar. The \"official\" solution was to uninstall iCloud app from PC and then reinstall the iCloud app. Instead of uninstall\/reinstall, I told Windows to repair the app. That worked.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>After further investigation, Karl told me, that the issue has nothing to do with Windows 10 Version 2004. Migration of settings to Windows 10 version 2004 with Office 365 2004 is performed correctly. What no longer works is the new setup of the synchronization access. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">ok it is not an issue of 2004. The thing is that you cannot setup outlook \/ icloud integration new, even on 1909, so as if you never had used it before.
