The update to version 83.0.478.45 closes several vulnerabilities.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/vg04.met.vgwort.de\/na\/ec826981a1964f169dc9309064b261b1\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\">According to <a href=\"https:\/\/portal.msrc.microsoft.com\/en-us\/security-guidance\/advisory\/ADV200002\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ADV200002<\/a> Edge 83.0.478.45 closes the following vulnerabilities and is based on the Chromium version 83.0.4103.97: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cve.mitre.org\/cgi-bin\/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2020-6493\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CVE-2020-6493<\/a>: A use after free vulnerability in WebAuthentication allowed a remote attacker in Google Chrome prior to 83.0.4103.97 to possibly escape from the sandbox.\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cve.mitre.org\/cgi-bin\/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2020-6494\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CVE-2020-6494<\/a>: A flaw in the security user interface for payment transactions in Google Chrome for Android prior to 83.0.4103.97 allowed a remote attacker to spoof the content of the omnibox (URL bar) via a crafted HTML page.&nbsp;\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cve.mitre.org\/cgi-bin\/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2020-6495\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CVE-2020-6495<\/a>: Due to poor policy enforcement in Google Chrome developer tools prior to 83.0.4103.97, an attacker who tricked a user into installing a malicious Chrome extension could potentially cause a sandbox outbreak.\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cve.mitre.org\/cgi-bin\/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2020-6496\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CVE-2020-6496<\/a>: A use after free vulnerability in Payments of Google Chrome on MacOS prior to 83.0.4103.97 allowed a remote attacker to potentially perform a sandbox outbreak via a specially crafted HTML page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The new Chromium Edge can be downloaded from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/edge\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">this website<\/a> as a web installer and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/edge\/business\/download\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a> as a business full install. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[German]Microsoft released a security update for the Chromium Edge browser on 4 June 2020.
