This is a maintenance update for the 68 main version of the e-mail client, which corrects a bug.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The reference to the new version already came from German blog reader Deoroller in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.borncity.com\/blog\/2020\/07\/01\/thunderbird-68-10-0-freigegeben\/#comment-92589\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">this comment<\/a> (thanks for that). Of course I tested immediately, and got the new version offered. According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thunderbird.net\/en-US\/thunderbird\/68.11.0\/releasenotes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">release notes<\/a>, there is only one fix for the new Thunderbird version: FileLink attachments, which are included as link and file when added by drag &amp; drop from a network drive. The release notes still link various security fixes to close vulnerabilities. I've checked them, but I can't find anything for Thunderbird 68.11.0.<\/p>\n<h2>System requirements<\/h2>\n<p>The system requirements for the different operating system versions (see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thunderbird.net\/en-US\/thunderbird\/68.0\/system-requirements\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">also<\/a>):  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Windows: Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2 or higher\n<li>Mac: Mac OS X 10.9 or higher\n<li>Linux: GTK+ 3.4 or higher<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The download is available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thunderbird.net\/en-US\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.
