The update brings the following improvements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Updates to improve security when Windows performs basic operations.\n<li>Updates to improve security when using input devices (such as a mouse, keyboard, or pen).\n<li>Updates to improve security when using Microsoft Office products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I had reported more details about this cumulative update in the blog post <a href=\"https:\/\/borncity.com\/win\/2020\/09\/09\/patchday-windows-10-updates-8-september-2020\/\">Patchday: Windows 10-Updates (September 8, 2020)<\/a>. Since it closes vulnerabilities and fixes bugs, installing the update on affected machines is essential.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<h2>Bitdefender Antivirus blocks Update KB4574727<\/h2>\n<p>However, users who use Bitdefender as antivirus protection on Windows 10 have run into a problem. The security solution incorrectly blocked the Windows 10 cumulative update KB4574727 as malicious. On reddit.com there is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/BitDefender\/comments\/ip46u2\/anyone_else_getting_trojan_hits_for_the_latest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">this thread<\/a> where a user describes the problem.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Anyone else getting Trojan hits for the latest windows 10 patch Windows10.0-KB4574727-x64.cab? Bit Defender keeps pinging it as Trojan.Ciusky.Gen.13<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>When Bit Defender protection is used, the antivirus engine incorrectly flags the KB4574727 cumulative update as a potential threat. After the update is successfully downloaded from Windows Update, the Bitdefender antivirus engine blocks this update when the device is restarted. Actually the restart is used to complete the installation process. However, this cannot be done, which means that update KB4574727 cannot be installed successfully. Also in the Bitdefender-Forum there is <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20210304005441\/https:\/\/community.bitdefender.com\/en\/discussion\/82835\/bit-defender-blocking-windows-update-kb4574727\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">this post about the error<\/a>. Softpedia picked it up <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20200914154904\/https:\/\/news.softpedia.com\/news\/bitdefender-antivirus-blocks-the-installation-of-windows-10-cumulative-update-531021.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a> and Techdows <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20230924043640\/https:\/\/techdows.com\/2020\/09\/windows-10-kb4574727-update-blocked-flagged-by-bitdefender-trojan.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.
