Microsoft has already introduced countermeasures that seem to be working.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I have just come across a corresponding status message <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MSFT365Status\/status\/1318658262477246470\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">on Twitter<\/a> from @MSFT365Status reporting problems with the service in North America.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MSFT365Status\/status\/1318658262477246470\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Microsoft 365 Status\" alt=\"Microsoft 365 Status\" src=\"https:\/\/i.imgur.com\/aFUVKBh.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The linked Microsoft status page does not show any errors &#8211; on downdetector.com a short spike is signaled, but it is decaying. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Office 365 Outage Oct. 21, 2020\" alt=\"Office 365 Outage Oct. 21, 2020\" src=\"https:\/\/i.imgur.com\/dSFPRvM.jpg\"><br \/>Office 365 Outage Oct. 21, 2020<\/p>\n<p>Apparently the countermeasures are taking effect &#8211; Microsoft has switched to an alternative infrastructure and has probably documented this in the admin center. They wrote about of a 'transient in nature' event.
