It is the so-called autumn update for Windows 10 Version 2004.

Windows 10 20H2 is available

I have already been informed (thx) in the English language blog that Microsoft has released the autumn update of Windows 10 20H2. On Twitter this announcement came to my attention.

There you'll find a link to the Windows 10 status page, which has been supplemented with a corresponding entry for Windows 10 20H2.

Current status as of October 20, 2020

Windows 10, version 20H2 is available for users with devices running Windows 10, versions 1903 and higher who manually seek to "Check for updates" via Windows Update. The recommended servicing status is Semi-Annual Channel.

Note We are slowly throttling up availability over the coming weeks to ensure a reliable download experience. As a result, the update may not be offered to you right away. For more details, see How to get the Windows 10 October 2020 Update.

So Microsoft has released Windows 10 Version 20H2 and its Windows Server pendant for Seekers. It's available only for machines with Windows 10, version 1903 and above. To get the feature update, you have to check for updates in the settings page under Windows Update. If the machine is compatible with Windows 10 20H2, the feature update should be offered for download and installation.

Microsoft then plans to roll out the upgrade in waves and roll it out to more machines in the coming weeks. This will depend on the problems identified. The new features of Windows 10 20H2 are limited: A little change in the start menu and the Chromium Edge is on board. Microsoft has scraped the innovations together in this blog post.

Windows 10 20H2 will be released as a small update (enablement update) for machines running Windows 10 2004, Windows 10 1903/1909 on the other hand will get a full feature update – see my blog post Will Windows 10 October 2020 Update (20H2) be rolled out soon?

Downloads for VLSC, MSDN and MCT

I have checked my Visual Studio subscription (formerly MSDN) Windows 10 20H2 is offered as Consumer Edition and as Business Edition.

Windows 10 (consumer editions), version 20H2

Please note: new supplemental media was not released with Windows 10, version 20H2, but the supplemental media previously released with Windows 10, version 2004 is also compatible with version 20H2 media.
For this multi-edition Consumer media, use a product key specific to the edition in the list you want to activate.
From the desktop, select the Start button > Settings > Update & Security > Activation. Additionally, the Windows 10 20H2 can be downloaded via Media Creation Tool (MCT).

Instead of using the Windows Media Creation Tool (MCT), the ISO file can also be obtained from the TechBench program via the adguard website. I just checked it, the ISOs (32 and 64 bit) are available for various languages for Windows 10 20H2. The download is done via the Microsoft servers (see also Tip: Download Windows- and Office ISO images using Adguard).

Similar articles:
Windows 10 20H2 released as final build in Release Preview Channel
Will Windows 10 October 2020 Update (20H2) be rolled out soon?
Windows 10 V2004: Enablement-Update KB4562830 to 20H2

[German]Microsoft has released the Windows 10 October 2020 Update (Version 20H2) for download on October 20, 2020 (C-Week).
