It is a maintenance update for the 78 main version of the email client, which fixes various bugs and vulnerabilities.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thunderbird.net\/en-US\/thunderbird\/78.9.1\/releasenotes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">release notes<\/a>, support for recipient aliases for OpenPGP encryption has been added (see). In addition, there are fixed vulnerabilities and the following bug fixes:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The key and signature parts of the message security popup on a received message could not be selected for copy\/paste.\n<li>Various UX and theme improvements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, the developers have fixed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/en-US\/security\/advisories\/mfsa2021-13\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">three vulnerabilities<\/a>, all rated with the threat level moderate.  <\/p>\n<h2>System requirements<\/h2>\n<p>The system requirements for the different operating system versions (see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thunderbird.net\/en-US\/thunderbird\/78.0\/system-requirements\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> for more details): <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Windows: Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2 or higher <\/li>\n<li>Mac: Mac OS X 10.9 or higher <\/li>\n<li>Linux: GTK+ 3.4 or higher<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The download is available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thunderbird.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.
