The operating system upgrade is now to be offered to all users.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/vg01.met.vgwort.de\/na\/250ab886f0484a4399065f4673f4c711\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\">The rollout of a new Windows 10 version always takes place in stages with an initially slowed distribution. This is then gradually expanded to more and more machines. A good half year after the first release, the feature update is then released for general use.<\/p>\n<p>Windows 10 version 20H2, referred to as the October 2020 Update, was released last October, after all. According to the latest entry in the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/windows\/release-health\/status-windows-10-20h2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Windows 10 20H2 status area<\/a>, Microsoft set the status for Windows 10 version 20H2 to \"broad deployment\" in the Semi-Annual Channel on May 18, 2021. That means all Windows 10 machines that have not had feature updates blocked or deferred will be offered this upgrade. <\/p>\n<p>Currently, only an audio issue is pending as a problem with Microsoft (see <a href=\"https:\/\/borncity.com\/win\/2021\/05\/16\/windows-10-version-2004-20h2-audio-problem-fiepen-nach-updates\/\">Windows 10 Version 2004\/20H2: Audio issue \"high-pitched noise\" after Update<\/a>).
