The version 91.0.0 is a new development branch of the browser, and the 78.13.0 ESR is a security update, which should eliminate vulnerabilities, but also fix bugs.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Firefox 91.0.0<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/vg02.met.vgwort.de\/na\/efcd1e139e904268a3a24bdba2d9def2\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\">According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/91.0\/releasenotes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">release notes<\/a>, version 91.0.0 brings some new features as well as bug fixes and security fixes. Here's a rough overview of what's new:&nbsp; <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Building on Total Cookie Protection, developers have added more comprehensive cookie deletion logic that prevents hidden data leaks and makes it easy for users to understand which sites store local information (see <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/security\/2021\/08\/10\/firefox-91-introduces-enhanced-cookie-clearing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">also<\/a>).\n<li>Firefox now supports logging in to Microsoft, work and school accounts with Windows Single Sign-On (SSO, see <a href=\"https:\/\/support.mozilla.org\/de\/kb\/informationen-zur-funktion-windows-sso\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">also<\/a>).\n<li>The simplify page feature when printing is back! When printing, under More Settings &gt; Format, select Simplified if available to get a clear page (<a href=\"https:\/\/support.mozilla.org\/kb\/print-friendly-pages-firefox-clutter-free-printing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">see<\/a>).\n<li>HTTPS-First policy: Firefox Private Browsing windows now try to make all connections to websites secure, and only fall back to insecure connections when websites don't support it (<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/security\/2021\/08\/10\/firefox-91-introduces-https-by-default-in-private-browsing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">see<\/a>).\n<li>A new locale has been added: Scottish (sco)\n<li>The address bar now returns \"Switch to Tab\" results even in private browsing windows.\n<li>Firefox now automatically enables high contrast mode when \"Increase contrast\" is enabled on macOS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Firefox is now catching up on almost all user interactions, providing a 10-20% improvement in response time for most user interactions. In addition, some security vulnerabilities rated as high or moderate have been fixed in the new version. Details can be read <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/en-US\/security\/advisories\/mfsa2021-33\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> in the relevant sections. After the update, the Proton user interface seems to be restored, no matter what the user has set.<\/p>\n<h2>Firefox 91.0.0 esr<\/h2>\n<p>A Firefox 91.0.0 esr version with one year of long-term support has also been made <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/91.0esr\/releasenotes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">available<\/a>.
