This is a maintenance update for the 91 development branch, which makes numerous fixes. Here's a brief overview. TB 91.4.0 (portable) breaks my system.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vg01.met.vgwort.de\/na\/3456b0944cb542d08e2c0299b5950747\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/>German blog reader Tom pointed it out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.borncity.com\/blog\/2021\/11\/04\/thunderbird-91-3-0\/#comment-118338\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> &#8211; thanks for that. According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thunderbird.net\/en-US\/thunderbird\/91.4.0\/releasenotes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">release notes<\/a>, the update includes the following fixes. Some fixes might address the slow startup of previous Thunderbird versions, also discussed here on the blog.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Improved IMAP startup performance for accounts with a large number of folders<\/li>\n<li>Thunderbird could not send messages when an IPv6 SMTP server was configured by IP address (instead of hostname)<\/li>\n<li>Forwarding messages with attachments sometimes failed<\/li>\n<li>Printing multiple messages at once was not possible<\/li>\n<li>Non-utf8 newsgroups were not supported<\/li>\n<li>Thunderbird got stuck after sending a message with NNTP and SMTP recipients<\/li>\n<li>Using Thunderbird with multiple language packages caused high RAM and CPU usage and sluggish performance<\/li>\n<li>Clicking on a \"mailto:\" launched Composer with the default sending identity instead of a configured alternate identity<\/li>\n<li>Dragging and dropping text into a plain text message in the Composer window was handled inconsistently<\/li>\n<li>FileLink messages were not displayed correctly when viewed in Outlook<\/li>\n<li>When setting up an account, it was not possible to create an IMAP\/POP account after selecting a protocol with an extension<\/li>\n<li>Multiday selections were not deleted when changing the displayed week<\/li>\n<li>When creating a new event by clicking and dragging the mouse to create a field, the view did not automatically scroll when the end was reached<\/li>\n<li>The calendar invitation field did not scroll when multiple invitations were pending<\/li>\n<li>The calendar print dialog did not have a cancel button<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/en-US\/security\/known-vulnerabilities\/thunderbird\/#thunderbird91.4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">security fixes<\/a> that were rated as high were made.
