On this date, all graphics drivers for GPUs of Intel processors of generations 6 to 10 will be removed from the regular update process. These graphics drivers should only receive security updates in case of serious vulnerabilities.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/vg05.met.vgwort.de\/na\/51878385eea644618d21cb5009d57467\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\">The information was published by Intel in <a href=\"https:\/\/community.intel.com\/t5\/Graphics\/Graphics-Driver-Support-Update-for-10th-Generation-and-Older\/m-p\/1403969\/thread-id\/108899\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this community post<\/a>. There, the removal of regular updates of the graphics drivers is announced as of July 27, 2022. <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>As of July 27th, 2022, Intel will be moving 6th &#8211; 10th Gen Intel Processor Graphics and related Intel Atom\u00ae, Pentium\u00ae, and Celeron\u00ae processor graphics to a legacy software support model. Intel will provide software support for affected products on critical fixes and security vulnerabilities only. Software updates for these products will move to a quarterly release cadence or with software releases as needed.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The following CPUs with code names Skylake, Apollo Lake, Kaby Lake, Amber Lake, Coffee Lake, Whiskey Lake, Comet Lake, Gemini Lake, Ice Lake, Lakefield, Jasper Lake, Elkhart Lake are affected:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>10th Generation Intel\u00ae Core\u00ae processors with Intel\u00ae Iris\u00ae Plus graphics (Codename Ice Lake)\n<li>10th Generation Intel\u00ae Core\u00ae processors with Intel\u00ae UHD Graphics (Codename Comet Lake)\n<li>9th Generation Intel\u00ae Core\u00ae processors, related Pentium\u00ae\/Celeron\u00ae processors, and Intel\u00ae Xeon\u00ae processors, with Intel\u00ae UHD Graphics 630 (Codename Coffee Lake-R)\n<li>8th Generation Intel\u00ae Core\u00ae processors, related Pentium\u00ae\/ Celeron\u00ae processors, and Intel\u00ae Xeon\u00ae processors, with Intel\u00ae Iris\u00ae Plus Graphics 655 and Intel\u00ae UHD Graphics 610, 620, 630, P630 (Codename Kaby Lake-R, Coffee Lake)\n<li>Intel Pentium\u00ae and Celeron\u00ae processor family (Codename Gemini Lake)\n<li>7th Generation Intel\u00ae Core\u00ae processors, related Pentium\u00ae\/Celeron\u00ae processors, and Intel\u00ae Xeon\u00ae processors, with Intel\u00ae Iris\u00ae Plus Graphics 640, 650 and Intel\u00ae HD Graphics 610, 615, 620, 630, P630 (Codename Kaby Lake)\n<li>6th Generation Intel\u00ae Core\u00ae, Intel\u00ae Core\u00ae M, and related Pentium\u00ae processors with Intel Iris\u00ae Graphics 540, Intel\u00ae Iris\u00ae Graphics 550, Intel\u00ae Iris\u00ae Pro Graphics 580, and Intel\u00ae HD Graphics 510, 515, 520, 530 (Codename Skylake)\n<li>Intel\u00ae Pentium\u00ae Processor family and Intel\u00ae Celeron\u00ae Processor family (Codename Jasper Lake),\n<li>Intel\u00ae Core\u00ae Processor with Intel\u00ae Hybrid Technology (Codename Lakefield)\n<li>Intel\u00ae Atom\u00ae, Pentium\u00ae and Celeron\u00ae processor family (Codename Elkhart Lake)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In addition to the above, the Intel graphics driver package now includes the driver files for 10th and older generation Intel processors and the driver files for 11th and newer generation Intel processors. This means that two drivers are included in a single driver package. However, the method of installing the driver does not change &#8211; an executable file with the installer is provided. The installer will automatically install the correct graphics driver for the system.
