As of August 2, 2022, the developers have probably released version 2.1.16.0. The reason for this release was a bug where auto-upgrade fails if the service account is in \"UPN\" format.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I came across this issue via the following <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/rjong999\/status\/1554596490898640896\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tweet<\/a> &#8211; the version history of Azure AD Connect can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/azure\/active-directory\/hybrid\/reference-connect-version-history#21160\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/rjong999\/status\/1554596490898640896\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Azure AD Connect Update\" alt=\"Azure AD Connect Update\" src=\"https:\/\/i.imgur.com\/BCvYPMv.png\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Note that auto-upgrade is not possible for Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2.
