It is a bug-fix update, which should fix a number of problems and vulnerabilities.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Thunderbird 102.3.1<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vg01.met.vgwort.de\/na\/a6bb264c48c246f39ab1b307bcc1c1b9\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/>According to the Thunderbird <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thunderbird.net\/en-US\/thunderbird\/102.3.1\/releasenotes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">release notes<\/a>, the following changes have been made in this version:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The composition window's encryption options are now only displayed for encryption technologies that have already been configured<\/li>\n<li>The number of contacts in the currently selected address book is now displayed at the bottom of the address book list column<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are also the following bugs fixes included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Password prompt did not contain the server hostname for POP servers<\/li>\n<li>Edit contact was missing in the context menus of the contacts sidebar<\/li>\n<li>Some characters were not displayed in the contact lists of the address book, so they were not readable<\/li>\n<li>Menu items for the alert dialog with a dark theme were not visible under Windows 7<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There is also a security fix that is rated as high: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/en-US\/security\/advisories\/mfsa2022-43\/#MOZ-2022-0043\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MOZ-2022-0043: Update matrix-js-sdk to v19.7.0<\/a> &#8211; The Matrix team has created a new version of its JS-SDK to fix a number of security issues. The system requirements for the different operating system versions are (see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thunderbird.net\/en-US\/thunderbird\/91.0\/system-requirements\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> for more details):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Windows: Windows 7\u00a0 or higher<\/li>\n<li>Mac: Mac OS X 10.12\u00a0 or higher<\/li>\n<li>Linux: GTK+ 3.14\u00a0 or higher<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The download of the free Thunderbird is available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thunderbird.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>. An update in Thunderbird 102.3.0 is not (yet) offered to me on Windows.
