There are currently indications that the disruption is receding. But the status pages of Microsoft 365 or Outlook 365 continue to report a problem with this service. Users who rely on this cloud function can neither log in nor send or receive mails. Here's a quick overview of what's going on.<\/p>\n

I opened my outlook app to check my mail like always but everything is gone! I don't mean some emails have disappeared, I mean literally EVERYTHING is gone. Inbox, deleted, junk, everything!!!!<\/p>\n

On Twitter, Microsoft 365 Status (@MSFT365Status<\/a>) has confirmed the issue<\/a> with outlook.com. Microsoft is investigating access and service issues for Outlook. More information is provided in the Admin Center at EX512238.<\/p>\n

If you follow the tweets, Microsoft has already initiated the first measures to fix the problem. However, the status page for Microsoft services<\/a> still shows problems with outlook.com. There it says currently:<\/p>\n

Title: Unable to send, receive, or search email through Outlook.com<\/p>\n

User impact: Users may be unable to send, receive, or search email within Outlook.com.<\/p>\n

More info: Outlook.com functionality such as Calendar APIs consumed by other services such as Microsoft Teams are also affected.<\/p>\n

Current status: We're applying targeted mitigations to a subset of affected infrastructure and validating that it has mitigated impact. We're also making traffic optimization efforts to alleviate user impact and expedite recovery.<\/p>\n
