The<a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/deployedge\/microsoft-edge-relnote-stable-channel#version-1140182386-july-17-2023\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> release notes<\/a> state that various bugs and performance issues for Microsoft Edge have been fixed.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.borncity.com\/blog\/2023\/07\/14\/edge-114-0-1823-82\/#comment-152736\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">comment here<\/a>, someone reports the problem that they now get the Save As dialog displayed every time they download, even though it is explicitly turned off in the settings. I had referred to the English <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elevenforum.com\/t\/enable-or-disable-ask-where-to-save-downloads-in-microsoft-edge.12151\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tutorial here<\/a> &#8211; no idea if that is helpful. Thanks to the reader for pointing it out. Anyone else in the readership having this behavior?<\/p>\n<p>In a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.borncity.com\/blog\/2023\/07\/14\/edge-114-0-1823-82\/#comment-152751\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">comment here<\/a>, German reader Bernie mentioned, that he wanted to download the WebView2 Runtime version 114.0.1823.86 from the <a href=\"https:\/\/developer.microsoft.com\/de-de\/microsoft-edge\/webview2\/#download-section\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Microsoft developer site<\/a>. He uses the Evergreen bootstrapper for software distribution. Bernie writes that this download is however no longer accessible since 7\/18\/2023. I tested it (as of 7\/19\/2023, 03:18 AM MEZ) briefly &#8211; the page did not work on the first attempt &#8211; the loading animation ran endlessly. On the second try, the download link and download could be retrieved.
