But not all todays laptops are shipped with precision touchpads. Somebody has managed to enable precision touchpad drivers on non precision touchpad PCs.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>There is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/Windows10\/comments\/6qz30h\/enable_precision_touchpad_on_hp_spectre_x360_2017\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thread at reddit.com<\/a>, where somebody discusses, how to obtain the precision touchpad drivers and enable it on a PC. <\/p>\n<p>1. Download the precision drivers from vender (<a href=\"https:\/\/download.lenovo.com\/pccbbs\/mobiles\/n1mgx14w.zip\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Synaptics<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20220821143832\/https:\/\/drivers.softpedia.com\/get\/Other-DRIVERS-TOOLS\/Others\/ELAN-Input-Device-for-WDF-Driver-161132-for-Windows-10-64-bit.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elan<\/a>) and unpack the drivers. <\/p>\n<p>2. Go to devices manager, right click on the touchpad devices. <\/p>\n<p>3. Click <em>Browse my computer for driver software &#8211; Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer<\/em> and click <em>Have Disk<\/em> <\/p>\n<p>4. Then browse the <em>autorun.inf <\/em>in your driver folder, choose Synaptics Pointing Device (or Elan) and click <em>Next<\/em> <\/p>\n<p>Wait, until the driver installation is finished and reboot your machine. Then the precision touchpad should be present on your machine.
