One is the hangs that occurred when copying via Ctrl+C. In addition, a problem with the GMail account connection has been fixed. I'll pull the two topics into one post.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Fixed: Outlook hangs when using Ctrl+C<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vg05.met.vgwort.de\/na\/4d4406ed346f4f5f80684ede0d25c150\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/>In the past, there was probably the problem in classic Outlook in exotic combinations that marked e-mail sections could lead to hangs or crashes when copied to the clipboard using Ctrl+C. However, this only occurred in very limited scenarios. However, the problem only occurred in very limited scenarios:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This issue has been reported for Current Channel version 2409 (build 18025.20096) or higher.<\/li>\n<li>Furthermore, the IME (Input Method Editor) had to be used, which is required for character input in Asian languages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In other words, it should have affected very few German-speaking Outlook users. The Outlook team has implemented a fix for this issue, which is available in the following channels and builds.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Beta channel: Version 2501 (Build 18410.15040) &#8211; is released<\/li>\n<li>Current channel preview: Version 2510 (Build 18429.20000) &#8211; availability of the builds is linked in the support article can be found under Release Notes Current Channel (Preview)<\/li>\n<li>Current channel: Version 2501 (Build 18429.20000) &#8211; expected availability on 1\/27\/2025<\/li>\n<li>Monthly Enterprise Channel: Version 2501 (18429.20000) &#8211; expected to be available on March 11, 2025.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Further details can be found in the support article <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/office\/classic-outlook-hangs-when-using-the-copy-shortcut-3c43226f-e236-4206-a6bd-1424781ced56\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Classic Outlook hangs when using the Copy shortcut<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Fixed: GMail account cannot be added to Outlook<\/h2>\n<p>In the support article <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/office\/unable-to-add-a-gmail-account-to-classic-outlook-4d9530c5-3f40-4e6d-9b45-4477f160828f\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Unable to add a Gmail account to classic Outlook<\/a>, Microsoft confirmed on January 7, 2025 that there had been problems when adding a Gmail account to classic Outlook. The user may have been shown one of the following error messages:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\"We couldn't log on to the incoming (POP\/IMAP) server. Please check your email address and password and try again.\"<\/p>\n<p>\"We weren't able to set up your Google account with IMAP. You may need to make changes to your Gmail settings.\"<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>With existing GMail accounts, error messages could occur during synchronization. As of Current Channel version 2412 build 18324.20168, the problem has been resolved and a GMail account should be able to be added to classic Outlook again.
