I cooperated as a blogger with Woody from time to time years ago, because the American, who was born in October 1951, was a veteran of the IT scene – and our lives had a lot in common.<\/p>\n
While I started writing full-time as a freelance writer for Person and MS Press (in Germany) in 1993, Woody followed in 1985 (with a freeware for Word and books on Windows 3.1). In 2004, Woody went online with his site AskWoody.com, while I didn't start blogging until 2007 and moved it to borncity.com in 2009.<\/p>\n
He was a cornerstone of the IT world and I always enjoyed interacting with him. I regretted his departure from askwoody.com at the time (although I understand his motivations). After leaving the USA, he spent the last few years living in Thailand and running bakeries and coffee shops with his second wife.
