The service has been unable to synchronize with Microsoft endpoints since 9 July 2025. This problem should be fixed, Microsoft has fixed something on the server side.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>The WSUS sync problem<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vg05.met.vgwort.de\/na\/2b761054de07407ab7194b9aac0a2a8a\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/>On 9 July 2025, there were an increasing number of reports from readers around the July Patchday (8 July 2025) that the Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) had massive problems and was unable to synchronize with the Microsoft servers. This meant that it was not possible to distribute the July 2025 updates in corporate environments via WSUS.<\/p>\n<p>The problem occurred worldwide and I had taken up the issue in the blog post <a href=\"https:\/\/borncity.com\/win\/2025\/07\/09\/wsus-has-synchronization-problems-july-9-2025\/\">WSUS has synchronization problems (July 9, 2025)<\/a>. Microsoft had confirmed this and announced that they were working on a fix.<\/p>\n<h2>Sync problem fixed?<\/h2>\n<p>Now there is initial feedback in the comments to the German blog post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.borncity.com\/blog\/2025\/07\/09\/wsus-hat-synchronisationsprobleme-9-juli-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WSUS hat Synchronisationsprobleme (9. Juli 2025)<\/a> and the English blog post linked above, that the WSUS has been synchronizing again since the early morning of July 10, 2025 (CET). In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.borncity.com\/blog\/2025\/07\/09\/wsus-hat-synchronisationsprobleme-9-juli-2025\/#comment-222817\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this comment<\/a>, a reader writes that a Windows Release Health email says the following:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\"Resolution: The issue has been addressed through a service-side repair activity and should be resolved.
