On March 16, 2026, Microsoft released an out-of-band (OOB) update, KB508489, as a hotpatch for this operating system. This update is intended to resolve issues in the Bluetooth stack of the Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) version of Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC 2024.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vg01.met.vgwort.de\/na\/173bbfe5189e422d845027700f8ac148\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/>The information published on<a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/topic\/release-notes-for-hotpatch-on-windows-11-enterprise-version-25h2-0bbaa1c7-5070-41ca-a7c9-4ead79602dbf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> this Microsoft webpag<\/a>e for the hotpatch update <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/topic\/march-16-2026-hotpatch-kb5084897-os-builds-26200-7984-and-26100-7984-out-of-band-74c779d7-e666-49a2-a809-1cbb31a79e7f\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KB5084897<\/a> is somewhat contradictory. On the one hand, Microsoft claims that the out-of-band update KB5084897 is for Windows 11 versions 24 H2 and 25H2 and contains fixes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/borncity.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-37.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-322659 size-full\" title=\"Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC 2024: Hotpatch OOB-Update KB508489\" src=\"https:\/\/borncity.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-37.png\" alt=\"Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC 2024: Hotpatch OOB-Update KB508489\" width=\"550\" height=\"533\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, it states that the OOB update applies only to Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC 2024. I've highlighted the relevant sections in the screenshot above. The following issue is listed as the reason for the update:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><b class=\"ocpLegacyBold\">[Bluetooth]\u00a0<\/b>Fixed: This update addresses an issue where Bluetooth devices may not appear on the\u00a0<b class=\"ocpLegacyBold\">Bluetooth &amp; devices<\/b>\u00a0page in\u00a0<b class=\"ocpLegacyBold\">Windows Settings<\/b>\u00a0or in\u00a0<b class=\"ocpLegacyBold\">Quick Settings<\/b>, even if the devices are connected and functioning as expected. This issue could also prevent users from adding new devices because available devices did not appear in the list for connection.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This update fixes a bug that prevented Bluetooth devices from appearing on the <em>Bluetooth &amp; Devices<\/em> page in Windows Settings or in Quick Settings, even though the devices were connected and working as expected. Additionally, the bug could prevent users from adding new devices because these available devices did not appear in the list of connection options. The update is being rolled out via Windows Update.
