Here is a short overview of these updates.

Update KB4054022 for Windows 10 Version 1709

Update KB4054022 is a servicing stack update for Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (Version 1709). This update makes stability improvements for the Windows 10 Version 1709 servicing stack. The update will be distributed via Windows Update, but is also available via Microsoft Update Catalog for manual download. There are no prerequisites for installing this update, and you don't have to restart the computer after you apply this update.

Servicing Stack Updates can't be uninstalled, because the uninstall button in Control Panel uninstall window has been removed. If such an update causes issues, use system restore – and blog the update reinstall (see How to block Windows 10 updates). In case system restore fails, see my blog post Uninstalling 'uninstallable' Windows Updates. But note: This should be a temporary workaround, because uninstalling a servicing stack update causes, that further updates can't be installed.

Update KB40552372 for Windows 10 Version 1709

Update KB40552372 (Compatibility update for upgrading to and recovering Windows 10 Version 1709: November 30, 2017) is a compatibility update.
