I received some user notes, that executing sfc \/scannow <\/em>in a administrative command prompt window, some damages will be repaired, and the cumulative update KB3081455 can be installed. The root cause for this install issue is ridiculous: Changing some Windows 10 start menu entries prevents the update install. This has been documented in comments within my German blog post Windows 10: Kumulatives September-Update KB3081455<\/a> and within this MS Answers<\/a> forum thread:<\/p>\n My suspicion was that the update might fail because I had moved that link in the Start Menu into another folder (see above).
