Skype service seems to have issues worldwide since February 3, 2018. Here are a few information I could collect so far. <\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Two days ago I already received a mail from blog reader Leon pointing me to <a href=\"https:\/\/windowsreport.com\/skype-messaging-issues\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this post<\/a> about Skype problems. The issue was also raised <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20180211160207\/http:\/\/news.softpedia.com\/news\/microsoft-s-skype-down-for-some-users-worldwide-february-2018-519710.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> yesterday. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/answers.microsoft.com\/en-us\/skype\/forum\/skype_windesk-skype_messms-skype_instamessms\/skype-suddenly-stopped-connecting\/8b0a572f-3a2b-4b6c-bd26-ac6904b9ea94\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this MS forum entry<\/a> the problem already exists since February 3rd, 2018, now we have the 9th of February 2018, (8:30 am MEZ) and I have called the <a href=\"https:\/\/support.skype.com\/en\/status\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">status page of Skype<\/a> and got the following message. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Skype-Status\" alt=\"Skype-Status\" src=\"https:\/\/i.imgur.com\/9Yh9lNF.jpg\" width=\"651\" height=\"517\"> <\/p>\n<p>Going to <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20210815103401\/https:\/\/downdetector.com\/status\/skype\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">downdetector.com<\/a> a few hours ago, indicates, that there are massive service issues (still continuing). <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Skype-St&ouml;rung 2.2018\" alt=\"Skype-St&ouml;rung 2.2018\" src=\"https:\/\/i.imgur.com\/OVCHdPi.jpg\"> <\/p>\n<p>The map below indicates the problem is escalating in Europe. In addition, there are a few disruptions in some regions of the USA, South America and Japan. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Skype-St&ouml;rung 2.2018\" alt=\"Skype-St&ouml;rung 2.2018\" src=\"https:\/\/i.imgur.com\/AnP8sD6.jpg\"> <\/p>\n<p>After Microsoft bought Skye, there has been some jokey around 'well, Skype is the next think, Microsoft will kill'.
