The desktop version includes an autoplaying content blocking feature. <\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Google Chrome 66 has been announced at <a href=\"https:\/\/chromereleases.googleblog.com\/2018\/04\/stable-channel-update-for-desktop.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Google blog<\/a>. Chrome 66.0.3359.117 contains a number of fixes and improvements &#8211; a list of changes is available in the log. Here are a few things to note:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This update includes <a href=\"https:\/\/bugs.chromium.org\/p\/chromium\/issues\/list?can=1&amp;q=type%3Abug-security+os%3DAndroid%2Cios%2Clinux%2Cmac%2Cwindows%2Call+label%3ARelease-0-M66\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">62<\/a> security fixes. Please see the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20240114105627\/https:\/\/sites.google.com\/a\/chromium.org\/dev\/Home\/chromium-security\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chrome Security Page<\/a> for more information.<\/li>\n<li>Chrome 66 will include a small percentage trial of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chromium.org\/Home\/chromium-security\/site-isolation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Site Isolation<\/a>, to prepare for a broader upcoming launch.&nbsp; Site Isolation improves Chrome's security and <a href=\"https:\/\/security.googleblog.com\/2018\/01\/todays-cpu-vulnerability-what-you-need.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">helps mitigate the risks posed by Spectre<\/a>. To diagnose whether an issue is caused by Site Isolation, use <em>chrome:\/\/flags#site-isolation-trial-opt-out<\/em> as described <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chromium.org\/Home\/chromium-security\/site-isolation#TOC-Diagnosing-Issues\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>. <\/li>\n<li>Chrome 66 will not trust website certificates issued by Symantec's legacy PKI before June 1st 2016, continuing the phased distrust outlined in our <a href=\"https:\/\/security.googleblog.com\/2018\/03\/distrust-of-symantec-pki-immediate.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">previous announcements<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Autoplaying content with sound is now blocked by default (this was originally planned for Chrome 64).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The browser may be obtained from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/chrome\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Googles Website<\/a>.
