It also contains a mitigation against the Spectre v2 CPU vulnerability.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/ssl-vg03.met.vgwort.de\/na\/fd7e36413d684659a8e557712e082d5d\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\">I noticed the announcement while browsing the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.technet.microsoft.com\/surface\/2018\/06\/01\/updates-for-surface-3-30-may-2018\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Technet blog<\/a>. Production of Surface 3 ended 2016, and the last firmware update has been released on August 2016.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i.imgur.com\/IASj9Nj.jpg\"><br \/>(Source: Microsoft)  <\/p>\n<p>The new Surface 3 update is for devices running Windows 10 and supports the following builds.  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>These updates include new firmware for the Surface UEFI on devices with Windows 10 version 1703 (Creators Update).
