Reference is made to the Microsoft article <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/help\/4339074\/removing-uninstalling-reinstalling-microsoft-store-app-not-supported\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Removing, uninstalling, or reinstalling Microsoft Store app is not supported<\/a>(KB4339074). There Microsoft says:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>In Windows 10, we do not recommend removing or uninstalling the Microsoft Store app.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Microsoft says that isn't recommended for Windows 10 Version 1803, Windows 10 Version 1709, Windows 10 Version 1703, Windows 10 Version 1607 and Windows 10 Version 1511. The explanation from Microsoft:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>this behavior is by design. <\/p>\n<p>If you uninstalled Microsoft Store by any means and want to reinstall it, the only Microsoft-supported method is to reset or reinstall the operating system, which will reinstall Microsoft Store.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The KB article is dated\/revised on June 19, 2018.<\/p>\n<h2>How IT admins can block the store<\/h2>\n<p>Administrators in enterprise environments who want to block access to the store can do this in Windows 10 Enterprise using Group Policy. Microsoft has published in October 2017 the article <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/windows\/configuration\/stop-employees-from-using-microsoft-store\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Configuring access to the Microsoft Store<\/a>. The article describes various methods for restricting access via Group Policy, AppLocker, etc.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Note: Users of Windows 10 Home versions had the option of blocking access via a registry entry (see also <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20210225071615\/https:\/\/www.thewindowsclub.com\/turn-off-windows-store-application\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tenforums.com\/tutorials\/43118-allow-block-access-store-app-windows-10-a.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>).
