Dezember 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span id=\"preserve555b343d47a34871a1991ac0791c9604\" class=\"wlWriterPreserve\"><script src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" async=\"\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Vulnerability\u00a0CVE-2018-8626<\/h2>\n<p>There is a heap overflow vulnerability in the Windows DNS server (<a href=\"https:\/\/portal.msrc.microsoft.com\/en-US\/security-guidance\/advisory\/CVE-2018-8626\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CVE-2018-8626<\/a>). Windows Domain Name System (DNS) servers do not properly process requests. An attacker who successfully exploits the vulnerability could execute arbitrary code (remote code execution) within the Local System Account.<\/p>\n<p>Windows servers configured as DNS servers are vulnerable to this vulnerability. To exploit the vulnerability, an unauthenticated attacker could send malicious requests to a Windows DNS server.<\/p>\n<h2>Security updates to fix\u00a0CVE-2018-8626<\/h2>\n<p>Microsoft has released security updates effective December 11, 2018 that address this vulnerability. <a href=\"https:\/\/portal.msrc.microsoft.com\/en-US\/security-guidance\/advisory\/CVE-2018-8626\" target=\"_blank\"
