Much to the displeasure of users in the USA. <\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Mozilla has explained the new feature of the extension recommendation <a href=\"https:\/\/support.mozilla.org\/en-US\/kb\/extension-recommendations#w_how-do-i-opt-out-of-recommendations-in-firefox\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>. But ti's possible to opt out from the display of the recommendations. But US users are getting annoyed, as I read <a href=\"https:\/\/mspoweruser.com\/surprise-firefox-users-not-happy-with-mozillas-extension-ads\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>. At reddit.com you can find the thread <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/firefox\/comments\/am9e61\/less_of_this_please\/\" target=\"_blank\">Less of this please<\/a>, where a user posted the following picture.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Firefox extension ad\" alt=\"Firefox extension ad\" src=\"https:\/\/i.redd.it\/fw5seo5i82e21.png\"><\/p>\n<p>A recommendation for an extension of the browser is displayed there. The user can accept or delay the acceptance via Not Now (or configure an opt-out via the pop-up menu of the Not Now button). The thread has now received over 100 responses &#8211; and the reactions are not to be interpreted as enthusiasm for these suggestions. I don't know if something like this is displayed in corporate environments. But from an administrator's point of view, such an offer to install unnecessary extensions is simply a no go.
